TripAdvisor survey notes decline in hotel brand loyalty:

The text speaks about the latest survey realized by TripAdvisor
This survey concern the client’s fidelity for hotels brand, indeed according to TripAdvisor engineers there is a decrease of 20% in 1 year of client’s fidelity (59% in 2009 to 39% in 2010). This decrease should be explained by a multiplication of factors, but mostly by the opening of the information systems. Today clients can found a better place for a better price and save a lot. Forrester Research Inc conducted an older survey on the same subject. They concluded the same on a longer period (42% in 2002 to 30% in 2009) and developed the theory that people are fed up to pay a lot even if its good product.

  2. I am agree with the thesis that companies are loosing fidelised clients. Indeed, I have a Accor card ("A club": fidelisation program) and if I have to choose an hotel in a city in the same category, I will choose the hotel with the best price.
